１Q＃１６末廣、＃１７高久のリバウンド、＃７町田のシュートでスタートは好調な法大。しかしパスミスから日体大＃１２高田に決められると、法大シュートが入らなくなる。＃４山田の３Pで嫌な空気を切り替えて２Qへ。法大が激しいディフェンスを見せる。＃１７高久のリバウンドやポストプレーが日体大のファールを誘う。＃４山田のカットからの攻撃やコンビネーションで息の合ったプレーを見せる。日体大＃４大西のポストプレーが決まった残り４分、法大タイムアウトを取る。両者点の取り合いとなるが、走りこんだ＃４山田がシュートを決めたところで前半終了。３Q開始早々＃１７高久３つめのファールで＃６亀井投入。＃５小川のドライブシュート、＃４山田が日体大＃７与那嶺の厳しいディフェンスをかわしてシュートを決める。中盤日体大のディフェンスが冴えてきて徐々に点差を縮められてくる。法大のリズムが狂いシュートが入らず、ファールが増える。チームの息が合っていないまま４６－４８と２点リードされて４Qへ。接戦のスタート。開始2分での日体大タイムアウト後から法大が息を吹き返す。#4山田、#16末廣は3Pで会場を沸かせ、#6亀井は体を張ったプレーを見せる。しかし日体大#7与那嶺に2連続で3Pを決められ65-61になった所で法大タイムアウト。両者ディフェンスが固く、#4山田には2人のマークが付いた。残り53秒での日体大タイムアウト後、日体大はファイルゲームに持ち込むが、追い上げられることもなく、69-64で法大が入れ替え戦の危機を回避した。

高久選手「残留が決まって、すごく嬉しい。これからも１部でプレーできることがとにかく嬉しい。日体戦はインサイドの大西・野口を抑えることを課題をしてプレーした。今日の３Qはうちの悪いとこが出ていた。勢いのある時はいいが、勢いが止まるとオフェンスが走らなくなり一対一に頼ってしまう。でも、もうそれを立て直す力が付いているので、今日も立て直すことができた。日体戦の二日前に全員で集まってミーティングをした。そこまで結構ばらばらだったのが、そこで本当に一丸になれた。それがこの２勝につながったと思う。山田さんが指揮を取ってくれて本当にまとまれた。とてもありがたかった。」
